Got up at 6:45 AM. Fixed breakfast for Glen. Drank my Essiac tea, waited 10 minutes, ate breakfast of cantaloupe slice and 1 piece of toast with peanut butter.

Did some reading in the Progressive Farmer. It stated Ted Turner owns 1.7 million acres in the U.S., mostly ranch land, and also owns land in Argentina.

Fed and watered 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Made out income tax payment voucher for our daughter Marilyn. Made out card to keep getting Progressive Farmer. Trip to the mailbox!

Listened to local news on the radio. Heard State Senator Janice Hardenburger had passed away due to lung cancer.

Dusted 27 roses.

Did load of laundry and hung out clothes.

Picked red & green peppers and cleaned them. Decided to make tomato juice.

Called accountant about a business matter. Made phone call to Jewell County Water District #1. Made phone call about friends who are ill.

Made peach cobbler.

Phone call from son Clay – run up to the corner and get Dad for dinner.

Fixed dinner.

Gave peppers to Myron.

Took Glen back up to the corner. The men are cutting silage.

Cleaned and put fresh water in the birdbath and dog buckets. Watered some bushes.

Went to Belleville to get tag for used pickup we bought last week. Came back to Courtland and went to the bank. Then went to the Community Building for Representative Jerry Moran’s meeting with constituents at 4:30 PM.

Stopped at grocery store. Came home and got supper.

Went to the neighbor’s for a couple of cantaloupe.

Came home. Read my Fenton "Glass Messenger".

Watched 10 o’clock news and went to bed.
