It was a hot one again today. It got up to 102!

The day started out much the same as any other. We got up at 4:45 AM and headed for the barn. It was not very cool this morning so we ran the fan for the cows in the milking parlor.

Headed to the house a little after 8:00 AM. I wanted to get to the bank as early as possible to finish the end of the month work that I didn’t get done yesterday. Got there a little after 9:00 AM. I finished up putting out my monthly interest letters.

Got home a few minutes after 4:00 PM. The grandkids were already here waiting for me to watch them while their mom and dad did the night milking. We had Landon’s favorite meal tonight – hamburgers and fries!

The kids came after Landon and Emily at 7:00 PM. Then, it was on to finishing up the day with cleaning up the kitchen and getting the towels ready to go back to the barn in the morning. It is our weekend to milk.
